The proper application of drying techniques and equipment
is not possible without accurate monitoring and analysis. Travis Engineers uses two measuring devices that provide vital
information necessary for proper restoration. The use of a digital thermo-hygrometer and moisture meter allow our technicians
to constantly monitor the temperature and moisture levels.
The digital thermo-hygrometer is used to constantly monitor
temperature and moisture levels of the drying environment. These measurements are important indicators of drying progress
and equipment operation.
The penetrating wood moisture meter is used to determine the moisture content (MC) of various
materials, during, and after restoration. The constant analysis of the material's physical state makes it possible for our
technicians to adapt and adjust drying techniques for proper restoration. The moisture meter is also able to measure moisture
without penetrating the material to be tested. This is especially useful in determining moisture intrusion in walls.
